Accordion Orchestras

On a Sunday the Academy is busy all day with three accordion competition orchestras, two of which are currently British Champions, These combine into two Showbands which, under Brian Laurie's musical direction, they perform concerts for charities and for fund raising to enable them to travel abroad.
Brian inspires the orchestras by his unfailing enthusiasm. They play a wide variety of music ranging from Scottish dance music to popular classical; they also incorporate music from the famous musicals and from Europe.
